Sustainability is measured by actions
Sustainability is an integral part of how PegPack designs, manufactures, and manages every aspect of its business.
Our commitment begins with the selection of raw materials, using wood sourced from responsibly managed forests certified by PEFC, helping promote forest management that respects environmental, social, and economic principles.
Resource recovery also plays a key role. Treated wood is recycled through the Ri-legno consortium, while production waste is recovered and reused to heat our facilities, reducing waste and maximizing the value of every material.
Sustainability also means complying with international regulations. Wooden packaging intended for export meets the ISPM 15 standard and is FITOK certified, ensuring compliance with the requirements for international shipments.
Our commitment extends beyond manufacturing. Through the Mission 2025 project, PegPack invests in reforestation initiatives. In 2023, the company created its first corporate forest in Guatemala, planting more than 150 trees in a project designed to grow over time and contribute to the absorption of more than 75,000 kg of CO₂.
