Sustainability is measured by the choices we make

Sustainability is an integral part of how PegPack designs, manufactures and manages every aspect of its business operations.

This commitment begins with the selection of raw materials. PegPack uses wood sourced from responsibly managed, PEFC-certified forests, helping to promote forestry practices that respect environmental, social and economic principles.

Resource recovery also plays a central role. Treated wood is recycled according to Ri-legno guidelines, while production waste is recovered and reused to heat company facilities, reducing waste and maximizing the value of every material.

Sustainability is also reflected in compliance with international regulations. Wooden packaging intended for export is compliant with the ISPM 15 standard and FITOK certified, a fundamental requirement for the movement of goods in international markets.

This commitment extends beyond manufacturing activities. Through the Mission 2025 project, PegPack invests in reforestation initiatives. In 2023, the company established its first corporate forest in Guatemala, planting more than 150 trees. The project continues to grow and has already contributed to the absorption of more than 75,000 kg of CO₂.
